Project Call Young Belgian Painters Award 2011

In 2011 the Jeune Peinture Belge, in collaboration with the Centre for Fine Arts of Brussels, will be presenting a new edition of the Young Belgian Painters Award. This prestigious prize has become one of the major references for contemporary art in Belgium. The contest is open to artists from all disciplines who are between 18 and 35 years old on the 1st of January 2011, and who have Belgian nationality or have been living in Belgium for at least one year. An international jury of museum directors and curators will select the projects on the basis of a presentation file. The selected artists will be invited to exhibit their work at the Centre for Fine Arts from June 9 to September 11, 2011. During the opening, the jury will award 4 candidates, amongst which at least one will be a painter: - the “Crowet” Young Belgian Painters Award (€25,000) - the “Langui” Young Belgian Painters Award (€12,500) - the “Centre for Fine Arts” Young Belgian Painters Award (€12,500) - the “ING” Young Belgian Painters Award (€12,500) Applications must be sent to the Centre for Fine Arts by November 15, 2010.
