The sculptures Frameworks 5x5x5 and SwarmDot, and the series of Chrono-prints show the different scales of their work. Interactive and generative process flows together in a coherent whole.

Architect by formation, graduated from the Fine Arts Academy in Antwerp and at the HISK, Leon Vranken is interested in daily life objects. He creates a distance between the functional objects to have a more sculptural, aesthetic and pure formally outcome. The distance also serves as an eye-catcher for the material itself and the space it surrounds; why it gives sense to the object as a sculpture. Leon Vranken presents a video piece and a sculptural installation for the Young Belgian Painters Award.
